What we use on the bench
The polishes, brushes and trees in our shops are the ones our own craftspeople reach for. Nothing is stocked because a rep pushed it.
Angelus wax shoe polish
A hard wax that builds a real shine and takes a mirror finish on toe caps. Shine, not nourishment — pair it with a cream.
Angelus shoe cream
Pigment and nourishment together. Restores colour to scuffed leather and keeps it supple. Use this before you reach for wax.
Horsehair polishing brush
A proper 200mm horsehair brush with a beech body. Buy one, keep it thirty years.
Cedar shoe trees
Unfinished red cedar, split toe, twin tube. The single most useful thing you can buy for a good pair of shoes.
Shoe care starter set
What a good pair of shoes actually needs, boxed. Horsehair brush, cream, wax and two cloths.
Angelus suede & nubuck kit
Brass-and-rubber brush, eraser block and protector spray. Everything suede needs and nothing it does not.
Angelus leather dye
The dye our own benches use for re-colouring and restoration. Permanent, and unforgiving of a rushed job.
