- Angelus wax shoe polish
Wax sits on the surface of the leather and buffs to a shine; cream sinks in and feeds it. Most people want both, and most people own only wax.
Apply thinly with a cloth, let it haze, then buff with a horsehair brush. Build a mirror finish on the toe cap with a damp cloth and small circles — patience does more than product.
Specification
Apply thinly. Let it haze for two minutes, then buff. Two thin coats beat one thick one.
Goes with it
Angelus shoe cream
Pigment and nourishment together. Restores colour to scuffed leather and keeps it supple. Use this before you reach for wax.
Angelus leather dye
The dye our own benches use for re-colouring and restoration. Permanent, and unforgiving of a rushed job.
Horsehair polishing brush
A proper 200mm horsehair brush with a beech body. Buy one, keep it thirty years.
Cedar shoe trees
Unfinished red cedar, split toe, twin tube. The single most useful thing you can buy for a good pair of shoes.
