Invisible mending is hand reweaving: thread taken from a seam allowance or hem and woven back into the damage, warp and weft, until it disappears.
It works best on woven wool — suiting, jackets, coats. Moth damage, cigarette burns and snags are the usual cases. It is slow, skilled work and it is priced per hole.
